Vadné čipy Nvidie - je desktop také ohrožen?
tak to je snad jokePodle serveru TheInquirer nejsou vadné jen mobilní čipy a postarší verze G84 a G86. Problémy se prý týkají i nových desktopových čipů G92 a G94! Jsou tedy ohroženy všechny karty GeForce 8800, 9800 a 9600.
EDIT: tak asi to bol fake lebo uz to dali precmozete zmazat prispevok :P

btw ty pripominky k cteni si odpust...
vyzdvihujes tady nv do nebe a jak mohli odrvonat intel ale asi ti nedoslo - bud by si je podal intel sam, nebo by to zustalo jak je (a tim ze amd by MUSELO mit cudu (ktera ani neni potrebna pro physX), kterou by si nV zase vzala az by prisle spravny cas) - ani jedno by pro amd nebylo vyhra, tak se radeji spoji s intelem a je za vodou, a jestli vyjde openCL + apple tak si muzou piskat. co by meli z nV? druhe housle na neurcitou dobu....

Tak to tedy rozvedu.
Ptal ses, proc by AMD melo podporovat PhysX. Ja jsem ti vypsal par hlavnich duvodu.
A ty pak prijdes s tim, ze PhysX nebezi na vsem...
Samozrejme, ze by bezelo, kdyby ho zacalo AMD podporovat. A o tom se tu prece bavime.
V tomto pripade maji AMD i NVIDIA 100% herniho trhu podporujicicho PhysX a Intel s prichozim GPU by ostrouhal, protoze hry psane pro PhysX by sis na jejich reseni nepustil. Tohle by bylo vyhodne pro obe spolecnosti.

ano to by bylo, kdyby to toho nV netahala cudu. nemohla prece cekat ze to amd prijme... takze amd ma havok, ktery se v pozadi s intelem rozhodne neztrati, proste sazka na jistotu, nez jit do physX+cuda, riskovat tak boj s intelem a pritom se bat ze strany nV ze si za cudu casem zacne uctovat hory doly - to je jedina verze kde by amd tratilo, tim ze vzali havok (atd.) muzou jen ziskat, resp. nemuzou prohrat

No na 8800GTS to vsechno pobezi v pohode. Jinak zalezi na tom, co presne od toho cekas.

no jen by me zajimalo zda to ma smysl instalovat.... na tuto kartu. Jestli budou efekty vubec znat, pripadne zda mi to nestrhne FPS o 50%)
