Q: I’m thinking about getting a wide angle converter, and it looks like the Raynox 6600 .66x has the best results; is this the general consensus of your staff?
A: The 6600 produces the widest field of view and the most nearly rectilinear. It's a little edge soft though at 100%. I think the Tiffen has the best image quality overall.
Q: How does the Raynox lens stand up in quality compared to Canon lenses? Are Raynox lenses a cheaper lens, build wise, than Canon lenses, or do you feel Raynox are as good as Canon?
A: At least as good as Canon. Aluminum and resin construction (aluminum on the mount end, resin front) vs Canon all resin. Tiffen is all metal construction, more utilitarian looking than the others.
