As you’ll notice, the rear of the card is vastly different to the X1950 XTX in as much as there are next to no components here. There are two digital PWM’s and not very much else to be found here. This allows for a cheaper and less complex board design. The miniscule heatsinks also help reduce overall cost alongside the need for fewer capacitors. The power connector has been moved to the middle of the board and the fan connector has been placed just above it.

Reg Hardware has sourced a couple of exclusive shots of the up and coming ATI Radeon X1950 Pro graphics cards. As you’ll see from the pictures, this card is quite different in terms of design compared to the X1950 XTX and it is the first graphics card to use digital PWM and ATI’s first graphics card with an internal CrossFire interconnect.

The internal CrossFire connectors don’t give away too much about how it will work, but a dongle less solution is a blessing. Although ATI has gone for two internal connectors, as not to mimic Nvidia’s SLI technology too closely. ®

RV570 CrossFire...

- jeden můstek je volný - myslíte, že ten druhý je tam kvůli tomu, že bude možné spojovat více karet za sebe?

- má nový chladič, který vypadá, že by mohl být tichý (vzhledem k velikosti jádra RV570 a rozměrům pasivní části bych byl ohledně hlučnosti docela optimistický)

- chladič je sice jednoslotový a tudíž nefouká ven, ale aspoň fouká do strany a neopíká HDD

Spojovat 4 RV570...hmm...kolik ma jedna karta zrat? Nebyl by to trosku over-kill na zdroj?

RV570 je 80nm (tzn jádro menší o 15-18%), navíc má o quad méně než R580, takže by ten čip mohl být velký jako R520 nebo ještě menší. Paměti jsou stejný jako na X1600XT, takže ty samy o sobě moc žrát nebudou... neviděl bych to nijak drasticky, myslím že spotřeba bude někde mezi X1800GTO a X1900GT. Možná blíž GT.

Pokud myslis tyhle namerene hodnoty u X1900GT, tak mi to pri 4xRV570 neprijde moc rozumne
