Me pripada, ze prave v IOps jsou mezi disky dosti velke rozdily, ktere souviseji s tim, ze dost velke procento disku je optimalizovano pro sekvencni cteni (aby excelovaly v hdtach a pod) a navic IOps casto zabiji ruzne techniky na potlacovani hluku, protoze rychly seek je zrejme hlucny.

Netvrdím že nie je rozdiel, ale 5400rpm disky sú aj tak väčšinou dátové a nie systémové, takže podobne ako rýchlosť, ani IOPS nehraje takú rolu. Keď chcem poriadny výkon v IOPS, tak budem musieť tak či tak kúpiť SSD, totiž rozdiel medzi klasickými diskami je v iba v desiatkach percent, ale medzi klasickým HDD a SDD v stovkách až tisíckach percent.

Ja osobne chci co nejrychlejsi disk s co nejvetsi kapacitou za co nejmene penez, SSD splnuje pouze prvni kriterium. Slovo "rychlost" pro me skutecne neznamena sekvencni cteni, to vyuzivam velmi zridka, zajimame rychlost spusteni OS a loading time aplikaci a pod, coz jsou situace, ktere IMO daleko vice nez na sekvencnim cteni zavisi na IOps.

Petrik súhlasím, ale stále tu je reč o 5400rpm disku kam ten OS asi nebudeš inštalovať.
