ATi se chystá na žádost OEM partnerů přejmenovat low-endové HD3400/3600 na HD4xxx

Due to a delay of RV710 and RV730 mainstream chips, ATI is going to simply rename its existing Radeon HD 3000 series to match the OEM requests.

Since it takes some time to release re-branded RV620 and RV635 cards, ATI has decided to cancel some huge orders of Radeon 3450 and Radeon 3650 cards.

The reason is simple as ATI is really serious about this re-branding scam and the bios won’t be ready for another two weeks.

Výsledky ankety: Jakou grafiku byste si v dohledné době koupili?

Na čele se s přehledem umístily karty s logem ATI Radeon, celkem jim patřilo 60,7 %, když na konkurenční nVidii zbylo „jen“ 15,7 %, 5,7 % si klidně zvolí integrovanou a pouhých 0,8 % zajímá více karet v počítači, i Radeon HD 4870 X2 sebral pouze 5,5 % hlasů. 17 % pak žádná grafická karta neoslovuje, prostě by si nic v dohledné době koupit nechtěli.

Celkovým vítězem se tedy stává Radeon HD 4870 s 28,9 % následovaný v těsném závěsu Radeonem HD 4850 s 26,3 % a vynecháme-li 17 % čtenářů bez zájmu o nákup, najdeme na třetím místě GeForce GTX 260 se 7,2 %.

This image is rather uneventful until two facts are revealed: a) she's a CG creation and b) she's being rendered in real time with new AMD technology. AMD's new effort, "Cinema 2.0," promises to bring photorealistic graphics that blend the visual fidelity found only in the most recent of Hollywood movies to the interactive space. AMD is imagining a future where consumers won't just play movies, they'll play in them.
