I have just written a review for a UK magazine on the DP1 and have subsequently continued to shoot with this camera.

I know there have been some very mixed reviews, but having shot many frames with it, I really feel that a number of journalists have been missing the point.

I accept there are a few handling issues, but for my purposes of trying to find the best landscape travel camera, that matters not a jot!

There has also been references on here to the film like qualities and having just printed one of the images from the slideshow (see the link below) at 30" x 20" I could not agree more.

I printed off image number 12 - the detail is incredible at that print size, and the colours are in a different class.

I normally shoot with a D3 and had it in my bag when I was shooting the sunrise - it took all my willpower not to get it out and start shooting, as some of the exposure were 15 and 20 seconds. Having never used the DP1 under these conditions, I was worried that I might lose some shots, particularly due to noise on the longer exposure images - however, the lack of noise is staggering!
