Zmena veľkosti diskového priestoru obsadeného službou System Restore
Kód:System Restore je veľmi užitočná služba vytvárajúca tzv., body obnovenia systému, vďaka ktorým je možné jednoducho a rýchlo obnoviť stav systému pri výskyte nejakého softvérového problému. V štandardnom nastavení však táto služba môže spotrebovať až 15% diskového priestoru, čo môže byť naozaj veľa, používaný voľný diskový priestor sa však dá jednoducho obmedziť na prijateľnejšie hodnoty pomocou nástroja Volume Shadow Copy Administrative Command-Line Tool. Volume Shadow Copy Administrative Command-Line Tool spustíte zadaním vssadmin.exe do príkazového riadku ktorý vyvoláte napríklad pomocou voľby Start | Run | cmd. Operácia vyžaduje práva administrátora. Ak chcete vedieť, koľko diskového priestoru je službou System Restore aktuálne obsadeného, alebo zistiť aká je maximum., použite príkaz vssadmin List ShadowStorage. Na zmenu maximálnej veľkosti vyhradeného diskového priestoru je potrebné použiť príkaz vssadmin Resize ShadowStorage /on=[drive letter]: /For=[drive letter]: /Maxsize=[maximum size], teda napríklad vssadmin Resize ShadowStorage /On=C: /For=C: /Maxsize=3GB pre nastavenie maximálnej veľkosti 3GB pre oddiel C.

Pokud Vás používáte připojené síťové jednotky, a otravuje Vás hláška "windows nemohl připojit některé ..." použijte následující postup :
Start, regedit:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Network
Vytvořte nový záznam :
Typ: DWORD
Název: RestoreDiskChecked
Hodnota: 0
Restart PC.

V případě, že chce vypnout komplet všechny balloon tool tipy :
Press Windows+R, enter gpedit.msc and hit enter. This opens the Group Policy Editor. Please note that the Group Policy Editor (gpedit.msc) is not available in Windows Vista Home and Vista Home Premium. I’m going to outline how to disable balloon tips on those editions at the end
Go to User Configuration, Administrative Templates, Start Menu and Taskbar.
Select Remove Balloon Tips, right-click it and choose properties from the context menu
Select Enable from the options and click ok
Close the Group Policy Editor
Reboot Windows Vista
As I said earlier gpedit.msc is not available in Windows Vista Home and Home Premium which means that we have to rely on the registry to disable those annoying balloon tips in Windows Vista.
Press Windows+R, type regedit and hit enter. This starts the registry editor
Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER / SOFTWARE / Microsoft / Windows / CurrentVersion / Explorer / Advanced
Create a new Dword and name it EnableBalloonTips
The value should be automatically set to 0, if it is not change it to 0
Reboot Windows Vista

Jen varování : nestahujte zbytečně, zkuste nejdříve přes windows update, toto je 5ti jazyčná verze a je tudíž veliká(435mb)
