Nvidia G92 is D8P, Priced $199-249

G92 is also known as "D8P" which stands for Desktop 8 Performance and the marketing name is GeForce 8700 GTS as revealed earlier. There will be 2 variants; 512MB and 256MB. The 512MB version costs US$249 while the 256MB version costs US$199. The G92 cards will be using either Qimonda or Hynix 1ns GDDR3 memories

Nvidia G98 Card To Price Cheaply At $59

Nvidia G98 is also codenamed D8M which stands for Desktop 8 Mainstream will come cheap at US$59. This G98 card will come even cheaper than the current GeForce 8400 GS with only 4 layer PCB. It is meant to put further pressure on ATi low end segment with the RV610 and the upcoming RV620.

G92 is the high end solution

There has been a lot of talk about G92 and many sites reported that this chip is a mainstream part. Our well informed sources have confirmed our previous allegation that G92 is a high end. It should be a faster clocked revised version of the G80 core at 65 nanometre and it should launch in mid November. The G98 is also the real codename and that is the 65 nanometre version of the G86 the 80 nanometre entry level chip. 65 nanometre will help Nvidia to make its production cheaper and the chips cooler. There will be one more G9x chips on 65 nanometre and we believe that G96 is the name. Time will tell.

Asi uz mu nekdo "poradil" a sam se zacina priklanet na moznost vyssiho mainstreamu ve forme G92.

G92 might be a high mainstream part

Our sources now believe that G92 is the 65 nanometre version that is set to replace 8600GTS and that it can easily be branded as the 8700 card. This card should be faster than GTS but slower than 8800 GTS cards and it should cost between 200 and $250 at launch.

If this is true this means that there won't be a Geforce 8800GTX / Ultra replacement in this year.

Opet zminka podpory DX10.1 pres driver update. Tak uz to vypada, ze to mysli vazne.

1. odkdy se v oficiálních materiálech píše něco o OC?
2. proč je schéma čipu stejné jako u G80 a s ještě zdeformovaným poměrem stran?
3. proč schéma čipu přesahuje rámeček dole a ty "bloky" vpravo do něj přesahují rámeček nahoře?
4. odkdy se leaklé slajdy objevují prvně na východních webech?

druhý slajd: kdyby byla podpora DX10.1 závislá na výpočetních jednotkách, tak proč ne, ale největší změny DX10 vs. DX10.1 se právě vůbec netýkají shaderů - je vyžadována podpora pro per process virtual memmory + full fledged page faulting with immediate context switching, což jsou věci WDDM, ale ty samozřejmě vyžadují i podporu ze strany hardwaru. A co je nejrozporuplnější, DX10.1 dle vyjádření Microsoftu vyžaduje "...ability to select the MSAA sample pattern for a resource from a palette of patterns, and retrieve the corresponding sample positions". Tzn. že čip musí být schopen podporovat taková rozložení MSAA vzorků, která po něm budou vyžadována. V tomhle ohledu nVidia od vydání neposkytla jednoznačnou informaci - nejdříve uvedli, že rozložení vzorků programovatelné je (v rámci 4-bit tabulky), následně, že programovatelné není a současná rozložení jsou neměnná a fixní... takže bude lepší počkat na oficiální info - tyto slajdy alespoň pro mě znamenají více otázek než odpovědí.

Nvidia Display port card pictured

Nvidia's first Display Port card has been pixelized. The one we've seen has a single VGA and dual Display Ports on a bracket and the card looked like it is in really good shape.

The card was rendering 3Dmark06 just fine and we didn't notice a single glitch. The second fun part about the card is that it doesn't have an external power connector which means that this 65 nanometre chip won't need and external plug.
