...tak to jste asi spatne pochopili - co ja zatim cetl, tak se to tyka pouze R9500 128MB a krome pameti 128 -> 256 bit se tim zpristupni i 8 pipeline, :-) moc dedukujete a z niceho. Zadnej recall se asi konat nebude, ale novejsi revize bude mit pravdepodobne jinej PCB, specifickej pro 9500. Bude mit min layers a mensi die - bude se hodne setrit, jinak by nemelo smysl menit PCB, ale protoze ve finalu si toto stejne lajskne relativne malo kdo, uvidise, co na to ATI. Pokud do toho nekdo chcete jit, tak asi lepe ted, nez potom, ;-) jinak docela slusnej ustrel kam se hrabou odpojovany FPUcka u SX Intel masin. Jo to sem byl jeste malej kluk, mel sem péro sip a luk... ;-)

Pokud se vam to nechce vsechno procitat, tak sumarizace zni asi takto:
"some Radeon 9500 non-pro 128 MB cards already have a 256 bit Memory Interface, but 4 pixel pipelines are disabled. the resistor switch enables the disabled pipelines. you then flash it with a 9700 bios since the bios that is already on the 9500 board can't handle 8 pipelines. since the board already had a 256 bit memory bus and you re-enabled the 4 pipelines and flashed the bios to let the board operate, you effectively have a 9700. this WILL NOT WORK on 9500 pros, and it will only work on non-pro cards that use the Radeon 9700 PCB. the best indicator of 9700 circuit boards is the ram: if there are 2 chips on top of the GPU and 2 chips on the side then it is most likely the 9700 GPU. whether or not this hack actually works on retail cards is unknown at this point, as nobody who ordered a card to try the hack out on has recieved their card yet."
