Zda se ze NV45 mozna tenhle rok vubec neuvidime, asi bude prave zalezet na tom jak moc se rozsiri PCI Express, jestli tomu tak nebude, tak se kolem Vanoc objevi NV48, ktera bude jeste AGP.

Existuje nastesti rozumna vetsina (?), ktera upgraduje grafarnu az kdyz je to potreba.

btw...PCI Expres - Ako je pisane aj v tom clanku je aj mostik s redukciou pre AGP, takze v tom problem nebude.

No teda, to je trochu sok... vacsina ludi, ktori sa zaujimaju o tuto problematiku predpokladala, ze NV45 bude native PCI-E solution (ja teda tiez...) a AGP verzie budu "bridged". A ono to je stale AGP + bridge chip. Som zvedavy, ci je to jadro identicke s NV40 (resp. novsi stepping) alebo ci tam su aj nejake vyznamnejsie zmeny (preco by to taktovali o 50MHz nizsie?)...

Nikto nehovoril, ze NV45 ma byt "nastupca" NV40. Ale predpokladalo sa, ze to bude native PCI-E. Nepouzitie low-k sa predpokladalo. To co by bolo teraz zaujimave vediet je, ci to su cipy od TSMC alebo stale od IBM (btw. IBM, pokial viem, neponuka "zakaznikom" 130nm low-k proces)?Původně odeslal Masster

A aky ma Nvidia dovod k pouzitiu tohto 0.13um Low-k procesu. Zrejme nepotrebuju natolko zvysovat takt jadra. Ono je zase skorej podobna situacia ako u GF3 ...nizky takt, ale vysoky vykon pomocou Shoderov 3.0 ... len pokym sa to zhruba vyuzije zas uplinie doba..
Ja som nehovoril, ze ma mat nejaky dovod. Faktom je, ze by to nepochybne znizilo tepelne vyzarovanie. Na druhej strane je tento proces zlozitejsi a drahsi - 220 milionov tranzistorov pri 130nm low-k moze byt overkill.Původně odeslal Semik
Ako som uz uviedol, nie je to len o vysokych taktoch...Zrejme nepotrebuju natolko zvysovat takt jadra.
Uff, SM 3.0 nijako priamo nezvysuje vykon. Existujuce aplikacie bez zasahov (patche, updates, atd...) ziaden vykon len prechodom na SM 3.0 capable HW nezaznamenaju. SM 3.0 je hlavne o pohodlnejsom kodovani, par novych features, vyssej presnosti, atd... SM 3.0 moze potencialne prispiet k vyssiemu vykonu ak sa budu pren specificky kodovat napr. dlhsie shader programy, ktore vtipne vyuzivaju dynamicke vetvenia preskakujuce vacsie casti kodu a podobne. Ale to ukaze az cas...Ono je zase skorej podobna situacia ako u GF3 ...nizky takt, ale vysoky vykon pomocou Shoderov 3.0 ... len pokym sa to zhruba vyuzije zas uplinie doba..
