So why this release Nvidia neglected to include the SW Drivers for Win Xp. On top of this they used an outdated ethernet driver version.

The WinXp Release contains

Firewire 1.1 (Install manually if needed)

I don't like the full drivers, where can I get the in the box for Xp?

These are actually included in this release. You have to install them manually.
