Yes, there is a new GlideXP and it will be the FINAL version but this does not mean I have stopped developing Glide drivers. Quite the contrary actually. Sometime in the future, who knows when, more Glide drivers for Voodoo cards will be released, but they wont be GlideXP.
Anyway onto the 1016 release. It's nothing terribly special, but mostly just fixes a number of problems in the 1015 build.
Firstly the problems with the OpenGL screensavers are now fixed. It was a rather nasty bug and was probably causing general instability in all OpenGL and Glide app.
Secondly, if you had any Glide apps that ran windowed, they should now work. Probably not greatly well, but they should now sort of work. V3s and Banshees are probably going to have some issues though. It will probably only work on V4s and V5s.
Lastly, I've updated my Freespace2 modification. Unlike the old version being used with the 1015 build, things will no longer run extremely slowly. Speed should be as good as ever. Also, I added in movie support, which you probably would have noticed was missing. Movies though are bit unstable, so it's probably best to press ESCAPE to skip them. A little enhancement I made over normal Freespace2, if using GlideXP 1016 and the new FS2GXP and are running at 1024x768, the movies will be shown fullscreen, instead of in a 'tiny' box centered on screen. This only works with GlideXP 1016 and this new version of FS2GXP.
GxpOGL has been updated, but there aren't any obvious changes worth noting to end users other than it now will only function with the 761 ICD. Attempting to use it with other versions will not do anything. In such cases GxpOGL will simply pass all the OpenGL calls through to the ICD un modified
