UMC To Make G92 For Nvidia

In order to cool such a card you only need a single slot solution and it doesn’t look that this Nvidia’s 9 inch board will be a noisy one. The card has 512MB or 256MB of frame buffer and by default it will come as the DDR3 version and you won’t need more than a single 2x3 connector to make it work.
It is better than HD 2950XT, as this card dissipates some 135W, but the slower PRO version dissipates 105 only.

nejak tomu moc nerozumim. Chapu to spavne ze 8800Gt bude vykonove mezi 8600GTS a 8800GTS ? nekde pisi ze by mela nahradit 8800GTS 320MB. ta je 320bitova, ale 8800GT ma byt jen 256bit, ale s vetsi pameti 512MB., vyplati se koupit tuto kartu 8800GT 512Mb, ci 8800GTS 640 MB ? moc se neorientuji.
Jeste uvidime, jak presne se ta karta bude jmenovat. Z hlediska vykonu je to oznaceni nelogicke, z hlediska ceny ne. GT by nemelo mit ve vetsine pripadu problem prekonat GTS jak ji zname.
dobre vykonove ji prekona, cena bude mensi. Co se stane s 8800GTS 640mb ? jaka bude jeji cena ? predpokladal bych ze pujde dolu, ale asi to tak nebude, preci nebudou prodavat tyto karty za +- stejnou cenu ?Citace:

Not that I think that this statement surprises you the least bit, but we were told by a friend that the next high-end GPU will not only sport double the performance of the ATi R680/2950X2, but actually triple the performance. The card "R680" is suppose to have two RV670 chips side by side on a single PCB and be able to output around 1 TFLOPS. This is the next high-end card from AMD/ATI, but we should not forget about R700 which is due this Spring. G92, or whatever we should call it due to the code-name mismatch in some charts, is also slated for launch in Spring.

Tie karty budu spociatku mozno drahsie, ale casom zlacneju - ved predsa karta s 256bit zbernicou je lacnejsia ako 320tka a tiez 65nm jadro je mensie a pojde na vyssej freq... Takze mozno dnes sa jedna o nejaky "stredny" high end, casom pojde o vykonny mainstream - a cena tychto kariet moze byt fakt nizka, casom by som tipol okolo 4000. Vyzera to zase na idealnu kartu (nieco ako 7900gs/gt, 1950pro a pod.).

a mel bych jednu otazku. muze karta ktera ma 256bit sbernici, a 512 MB byt rychlejsi nez 320bitova s 640 MB ram, jen diky taktum jadra a pameti ?
Guide-Bot: Nová 8800GTS (512MB/256bit) má mať tiež viac SPs. Teda ak to zhrnieme, viac SPs, vyššie takty, potenciál tu je.

takže jestli máš 512bit sběrnici a 1GHz paměti nebo 256bit sběrnici a 2GHz paměti, je v podstatě jedno (pokud zanedbáme latence a vliv počtu/šířky kanálů)

Nvidia is stepping up efforts on getting 3-way SLI ready for launch on Nov 12th. However, to get 3-way SLI up and running, there are a few requirements. Firstly you need a 3-way SLI drivers. Secondly, you need either a 680i SLI or the upcoming 780a/780i SLI board with at least 3 PCIe x16 slots. Thirdly, you need either GeForce 8800 Ultra or GeForce 8800 GTX cards as these cards have 2 SLI connectors on each card. Even the upcoming G92 cards will not support since it has only 1 SLI connector. Fourthly, you would need a 3-way SLI bridge card.
