This download is a beta driver providing Microsoft® Windows® XP support for Creative Sound Blaster® X-Fi™ series of audio devices. For more details, read the rest of this web release note.

Take note of the following:

* THIS IS AN UNSUPPORTED BETA DRIVER. There is no technical support for this driver.
* We recommend that only experienced users install this driver. Do not install this driver on a system used to perform critical tasks.
* Users who are looking for stable drivers should wait for the final release. When this happens, user should install the latest Sound Blaster X-Fi series XP driver available.

* Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Platinum
* Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Fatal1ty®
* Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Elite Pro
* Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi

Fixes:

* Resolves the issue for systems with 4 GB of RAM.
* Resolves the Digital I/O detection issue when restarting your computer.

Known Issues:

* Before installing this driver, close the Creative MediaSource Go! application on your desktop and restart your computer. (After you have installed this driver, you may manually launch the MediaSource Go! application from the Start menu)
* When adjusting the master volume in any of the Mode Console, there is no sound output in the rear speakers. (Use the Microsoft Volume Control panel to adjust the master volume)

* Windows XP Professional x64 Edition, Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2), Windows XP Media Center Edition (MCE) 2005 or Window XP MCE 2004
* Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi audio devices listed above

Notes:

* Do not install this driver for Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Audio.
* To install the driver, do the following:
1. Download the file onto your local hard disk.
2. Double-click the downloaded file.
3. Follow the instructions on the screen.
* To uninstall the driver, do the following:
1. Click Start -> All Programs -> Control Panel.
2. Double-click the Device Manager icon.
3. Double-click the Sound, video and game controllers option.
4. Right-click the Creative SB X-Fi option, and select Uninstall.
The Confirm Device Uninstall dialog box appears.
5. Select the Delete the driver software for this device option.
Note: This check box must be selected to avoid reinstallation issues.
6. Click the OK button.
7. Restart your computer.
* To reinstall the driver, do the following:
1. Double-click the downloaded file.
2. When the message You must restart your computer to apply these changes appears, click the Restart Later button.
3. Follow the instructions on the screen.

Tak jsem tu betu nainstaloval, hraje to pěkně, řek bych, že jsou lépe rozlišeny jednotlivý kanály a zvuk je takový čistší a dynamičtější. Mám ale problém, že když hejbnu s ovládáním hlasitosti v Entertainment modu, tak se to přepne jakoby do 2+1, ač mám nastaveno 5+1. To samé při přepnutí do Audio Creation modu. Navíc není toto ovládání hlasitosti spřaženo s ovládáním hl. v playeru. Nejde to nijak nastavit, pomůže jen hodit vše zpět do defaultního nastavení. Jako player mám Creative MediaSource Player, Organizer 5.10.38. Driver si nějak nerozumí s tímto přehrávačem, nebo se mi něco kouše v Xpéčkách?

Ja jsem s temito ovladaci mel take problem.Prislo mi ze s nimi to hraje o neco lepe,ale na predchozim PC (X2 4400+,atd.) to slapalo vse OK.Jakmile jsem ale poskladal nove PC (viz. podpis) a pak jsem nainstaloval tenhle beta driver,tak mi repro slo take jen jako 2.1,namisto 5.1,ale bohuzel nebyla moznost jak to zmenit.Proste nic nepomahalo,takze jsem se nastvany vratil zase zpatky k predposlednim ovladacum...
