Mam MDK 10.0, oficial, z dvd Computera, je tam KDE 3.2. Je jasne, ze som zaciatocnik, ale ze to bude az take zufale som necakal. Nemozem nainstalovat ani Krusader (1.60.0-2mdk. i586 .rpm, predtym som skusal 1.30 mdk-mdk91.i586.rpm), vypisalo mi ze: niektore pozadovane baliky nie je mozne nainst. lebo chyba "libstdc++.so.6", ze ci s tym suhlasim. Tak som mu to doinstaloval, teraz pyta "libidn.so.11". Musim koli tomu reboot do XP, lebo v MDK nemozem nainstalovat ani Lucent modem, skusal som verziu driverov ltmodem-5.78d, vypisalo mi (pri kompilacii): "cant determine kernel version with uname -r". Verzia "DP56K_L 600 mi tiez nesla skompilovat. Pokusim sa dat sem ten log, vyzera to ze modem sa s Linuxom neraci (vo vsetkych verziach win od 98 po XP SP2 funguje). Ak ten modem nerozchodim, je to pre mna nepouzitelne (MDK). Vdaka za kazdu radu (a sorry za ten log, ale pre odbornikov to bude asi najvyrecnejsie)

a mas overene, ze ten modem neni pouze WINmodem(Softmodem, ci jak se tomu nadava), paklize ano, tak ani v linuxu jit nemuze ... potrebujes fullHW modem...

Jinak na MDK instaluj zasadne pres urpmi, resi zavyslosti, kdyz budes instalovat jednotlive balicky pres rpm, tak ti potrebne nedoinstaluje.

Ale tieto drivery by mali byt prave pre ten moj (je to PCI ?soft? modem - Microcom Deskporte Internal Lucent, stiahol som drivery aj zo stranky Microcomu, ale ked som ich skusal, vypisalo mi, ze tam chyba Makefile (myslim). Zda sa mi, ze uz som skusal instalovat aj cez URPMI, nieco len zbehlo a dalej sa nedialo nic. Btw, urpmi sa pouziva cez konzolu, graficky to asi nepojde? Sorry, ide mi to akosi pomaly.

Pres ltmodem sem driv vyse zmineny modem pouzival, takze te muzu ujistit, ze jede Potrebujes ale na to zdrojaky jadra, ktere ti momentalne bezi, dale v jadre podporu ppp (jak se modul jmenuje to ted presne nevim), po kompilaci modemu bys mel mit moduly lt_modem a lt_serial. Jako zarizeni /dev/ttyLTO. Precti si readme k driveru a je to tam dost dobre popsany co bude vsechno potrebovat a tak.

2.4 drivers are built according to marco's patches with minor mods" (readme od driverov ver. 5.78d )
Pozeram, ze mam toho pred sebou asi este vela (zdrojaky, kompilacia jadra), idem teda citat podrobnejsie to readme, ci s toho zmudriem.

Nevim, ale presne jake jadro je v mdk co mas, verze jadra toho ltmodemu a jadra ktery bootujes musi byt stejna.

Taky bude potreba nahrat odpovidajici zdrojaky jadra.

To vyzera slubne, zajtra to, dufam, vyskusam. Zatial vdaka vsetkym, este sa urcite ozvem. Ak som to dobre pochopil, uname -a mi vypise verzie zdrojakov, ktore potom podhodim Googlovi? Alebo su tie zdrojaky aj na instalacnom DVD? Majte so mnou prosim este chvilu strpenie.

Hda je CDRW, je na primary master, ako slave je ten harddisk, kde je aj MDK (hdb), hdc je DVDRW - second. master. Ked napisem v konzole (root) urpmi kernel-source, otvori mi to tu cd napalovacku a vypise mi ze mam vlozit Mandrake DVD (alebo Computer DVD) do hda a stlacit enter. Uz som skusil pomocou cd.. premiestnit sa do adresara "cdrom2" (hdc), aj ma to tam presunulo a tam som spustil to urpmi..., ale stale ma to vyzyva na vlozenie inst. DVD do hda. Ako mu mam vysvetlit, ze prisiel na tento svet z hdc? Musim odpojit to cdrw?
