Both 8MB and 12MB models support 640x480 and 800x600 screen resolutions. The 640x480 and 800x600 modes use a 16-bit Z-Buffer. When using one Voodoo2, the 1024x768 mode does not use a Z-buffer. Using two Voodoo2 cards in SLI mode adds a Z-buffer to the 1024x768 resolution. If you want the higher resolution, you must purchase two cards. While it is theoretically possible to achieve 1024x768 with one card, few games will support this tradeoff. Even if you found a game that made this sacrifice, the performance penalty may negate the increased screen resolution.
