IMO ceny budu primerane. Low end je superlacny netburstovy celeron, ktory na 65nm nema problem dosahovat vysoke frekvencie.
Myslim ze ceny budu pomerne rovnake ako teraz (podla uz uvedenych cien servrovych verzii).
Otazka - vsetky conroe maju rovnake jadro? Alebo su dve verzie jedna so 4mb cache a jedna s 2mb? Alebo tie 2mb kusy su len nepodarky s vypnutou polkou cache?
Kazdopadne otazka cakania - cakanim sice mozno ziskas nizsiu cenu, ale pocas toho cakania budes mat stale ten stary pomalsi procesor. Ak upgradnes hned, tak sice mozno das viac, ale ten vykon mas hned. Otazne je, ci ti stoji ten dajme tomu polrok lepsieho vykonu za danu vyssiu cenu.
Ale E4200 (1.66g/800fsb/2m cache) by mal byt ako najslabsi dost lacny a pretaktovavacsky potencial myslim ze bude mat fakt velmi slusny, tipujem tak 66% a viac.

Ako ocakavate rast frekvencii do buducna u intelu? Pretoze amd prejde na 65nm a teda im porastu frekvencie a znizi sa spotreba. Vidim to tak, ze v pripade servrov dojde k vyrovnaniu vykonu (na tom teste je sice o nejakych 10-15% vykonnejsi woodcrest, ale tiez ma 2x viac cache, 2x rychlejsiu fsb, ale aj o 15% vyssiu freq.).
Ak ma dnes amd max. 2.8ghz na 90nm, tak kolko budu mat cca o rok na 65nm? A kolko bude mat intel?
Vcelku pochybuju, že frekvence bude nějak markantně růst. Stejně tak jí ale moc neočekávám u AMD - určitě něco málo 65nm dá, ale tipuju spíš, že se frekvenčně s Intelem vyrovnají a bude rozhodovat architektura.
Souhlasim s Eaglem, myslim ze Intel uz poznal ze zvysovani freq neni nejlepsi postup a AMD se z toho taky poucilo. A co hlavne - pomalu si zvykaji i zakaznici, takze nastava (doufejme) doba chytrych reseni, kdy pujde o architekturu a uspory energie, nez o kilowatty ve zdroji.
Osobne proti vykonu nic nemam, ale na 95% veci mi stacil i Duron 700, 4% se daji pustit pres noc a to 1% je o dobrem pocitu ;-)
Urcite ty vysledky ktery ted ma Intel jsou hodne vyborny,ale AMD snad brzy zase neco vymysli aby dorovnal silu s Intelem nebo ji jeste zvysil...
Jinak ja osobne si myslim ze frekvence procesoru se uz nebude tak razantne zvedat,ale spise se do budoucna bude vice vyuzivat nekolikajadrovych CPU (viz. novy Playstation 3).
Bohužel ale frekvence je měřítkem výkonu. Tady jde spíš o to, že oni nemůžou, ne že by nechtěli.

Oznaceni uz jede podle jinejch cisel, navic se zavadi dalsi finty jako "centrino", IIVV (nebo jak),... a podle toho co sem cetl s tim slavi Intel dobry uspechy.
Nedavno kdyz prisla do firmy dodavka novyc PC, musel sem se uz taky divat na inet kolik MHz to vlastne ma, protoze vsude uz bylo jenom ciselny znaceni.

Ja to vidim spis jako dobrej pokus jak maximalne zneprehlednit trh, podobne jako u grafickych karet, kde BFU nema ani paru o tom, jakej je rozdil mezi ruznejam SE/LE/GT/... verzema. Pak si casto koupi predrazenej kram coz zjisti kdyz uz je pozde.
to je pravda, a mna najviac stve ked su rozne recenzie a nenapisu tam poriadne aka to je karta (kolko pipeline, frekvencie gpu, pamati, sirku zbernice pamati), potom tam maju rozne grafy, testovanie vykonu atd. a ja si v googlovi musim hladat tie frekvencie (vacsinou ani na stranke vyrobcu nie su). To je docela zajimavy, ze rozdil mezi 3,9Ghz a 4,6Ghz je v SuperPI jenom 1,5sekundy. Tedy pri 18% OC je to pouze 10% vykonu navic...
