Ja teda ocakavam ze frekvencie budu take ako maju byt. Tych kariet bude menej a samozrejma cena bude dost vysoka - mozno aj tak aby sa nemuseli menit ceny normalnych 7800gtx, resp. cena bude rovnaka/trocha vyssia ako x1800xt 512, skor by som tipoval ze by mohla byt este o nejakych $50 vyssia.

Hmm pekne... i kdyby mela tech 600MHz+ na jadre (dle meho rozumu tomu stale nemuzu nejak uverit), tak 649 dolaru bych za ni asi nedal, ale byl bych strasne rad, ze ji NV privede natrh, protoze klesne cena meho favorita a to jest X1800XT :wink:

7800GTX ma MSRP taky trosku vyssi nez za jakou se bezne prodava, stejne tak 7800GT.
Na druhou stranu to muze byt presne naopak jako napr. u X1800XT kde je bezna cena o DOST vyssi nez MSRP.
Btw. pochybuju, ze uvedeni 512MB 7800 nejak zahybe s cenou X1800XT, urcite ne u nas.
Nemůžeš se divit, že když ti jí někdo prodá dva dny před oficiálním vydáním, tak si za to nechá náležitě zaplatit. Jinak ceny zahraničních prodejců, kteří ji budou dodávat až po oficiálním vydání jsou vyšší tak o $10, než udává MSRP. Nevím, jestli je pro člověka, který je ochotný dát za grafickou kartu 15000Kč, suma cca 250Kč DOST peněz.Citace:

Dál je třeba brát v úvahu, že MSRP 256MB GTX a GT byly silně nadhodnocený, protože 2.0, 1.8 a 1.6ns paměti se používaly už předtím a na výrazně levnějších kartách. Naopak nelze očekávat podobnou cenu u GTX512, protože 512MB 1.1ns pamětí (který Samsung podle webu ještě ani oficiálně neprodává), budou pěkně drahý.

Oproti cemu? Proti vyrobnim nakladum? To je dneska vsechno.
Proti konkurenci? No kdyz tohle byla nova generace, tak jen blbec by si nenechal poradne zaplatit.

Jejich pozdější vydání spočívá v tom, že 7800 měla být původně vydána jako GeForce 6, měla to být půlgenerace (jako třeba 5800-5900). Mainstream měl zůstat (6600GT). Jenže protože nestačilo číslování, rozhodla se jí nvidia vydat jako novou generaci, GeForce 7. Proto chyběl low-end a mainstream a musel se navrhnout dodatečně.Citace:

Dobře, vysvětlím to ještě jednou:
1) Pokud použijeme SLI desku a dvě GTX512, bude mít ta horní málo vzduchu, ok?Citace:

Zmiňuješ situaci s SLI desku, ale jen jednou GTX? To je pravda, to by šlo, ale zas je nutný dát minimálně 1000Kč navíc za SLI desku, přesto, že SLI nechceš používat, jen kvůli tomu, že má karta blbě navržený chladič. Já třeba nechápu, proč nemohli umístit větrák až na konec karty a uložit ho mírně šikmo, aby foukal jakoby směrem ven z case. Nebylo by třeba heatpipe a slot pod kartou by byl použitelný.
Na dýlku je XT stejná jako GTX nebo GTX512. A na rozdíl od GTX512 můžeš použít slot hned pod chladičem, protože to nebrání nasávání. Ale s tou váhou máš pravdu.Citace:

Teď ti nerozumím. Myslíš layout základní desky? Tohle ale platí obecně - GTX512 nasává zespoda, takže se po zapojení další karty do slotu pod grafiku zhorší chlazení grafiky, případně to ještě může mít vliv na hlučnost. S chladičem XT tenhle problém není, protože ten nenasává zespoda.Citace:

Jiste, myslel jsem layout zakladni desky, ono v pripade, ze dojde k vyraznejsimu rozsireni SLI, tak na tomhle problemu vyrobci desek urcite zapracuji, jinak by uz nebyl duvod tam krome PEG slotu davat jine.
Nevydal Abit k jedne svoji desce zvukovku do PCI-E? Tam by potom nebyl problem, protoze pod kartami ve SLI jeden volny slot zustal.

Asus A8N-E a A8N-SLI maju medzi pcie slotmi pre grafiky az dva dalsie pcie sloty, takze tam miesto je a tu zvukovku si das do uplne spodneho pci slotu.
A toho soundsormu fakt velka skoda.
Neviem cim to je, ale no-X mi cim dalej tym viac pripada ako ati fanda.

THX: Nepreferuju přímo ATi. Kdyby byl k dispozici moderní hardware od 3Dfx nebo PowerVR, šla by ATi z kompu ven, stejně jako teď půjde ven čipset od nVidie. Ale na nVidii mi vadí hlavně její typický marketing, a když lidi opakujou žvásty jejího PR oddělení a pokládaj je za argumenty. A pak poslední věc - systém vývoje čipů: když nový čip přinese podporu nějaké zlomové technologie, používá ji nVidia jako největší marketingový tahák, ale v praxi jde o implementaci, která je z 90% nepoužitelná. Kdežto ATi tyto technolgoie implementuje buďto rovnou v použitelný podobě, nebo až tehdy, když jsou zapotřebí. A pokud je něco, co se mi na ATi líbí, je to právě tohle. Jde o těžší cestu (vývojáři her nemůžou předem optimalizovat pro její hardware), ale připadá mi to férovější (ati tím nedělá ze zákazníka debila). Jestli chceš, můžu být konkrétnější přes PM nebo ICQ, tady už to nechci víc rozvádět (bez svolení moderátora)

G72 will be 64-bit and support TurboCache technology. Marv Burkett revealed that GeForce 7200 and 7600 series will last between one to one and half year.
G71 will be 90nm and is expected to be much higher clocked at 750MHz. As for G80, the development process has been smooth and is slated for mid 2006 release which i suppose during Computex 2006. Also G80 will support Shader Model 4.0.

A source close to ITC, a market leader of custom made notebooks in Australia, has informed us that there is indeed such a notebook in development. Unfortunately, no details on the CPU or chipset were given, but according to our source, the new SLi notebook will be shipping by late February to early March. Heat and power consumption has always been the big issue with developing such a system. According to another source, this notebook will have 2 cooling systems. One will be the traditional intake from the underside of the laptop with the vents at the rear. The second will have a blower-style tunnel system taking air from one side of the notebook, cooling the 2 x GeForce Go 7800GTX GPUs and blowing it out the other side. By the sounds of it, this will not be a quiet system. But it should make up for that with its extreme gaming performance. This notebook should easily score 11,000+ 3Dmark05 points.

SLI v notebooku... Bud v NV slo IQ velmi rychle dolu nebo si stoji na vedeni. Meli by si uvedomit, ze od notesu se chce trosku neco jineho nez od HighEnd desktopu. Uz vidim tu vydrz baterie, ztratove teplo, hlucnost :rolleyes:

We also heard that the chip should work around 700 MHz frequency and as we reported before it should feature 32 pixel pipelines.
Nvidia scheduled its launch and world wide availability in stores for February 2006 but if all goes well it might actually launch at the same time as ATI, in the last week of January.

Kazdopadne, nejaka 650-700MHz karta s 32 pipelines, tomu bych uz veril a rekl bych, ze nebudu tak daleko od pravdy. Jestli k ni pridaji 1.1ns pameti, tak si zbytecne dost snizi vyteznost + zvysi cenu, ale zas na druhou stranu NV z duvodu pouheho pridavani pipelines (a tim neunosneho zatezovani pametoveho subsytemu) nema na vyber nez po 1.1ns sahnout.
Tu su nejake dalsie vysledky 3dmarkov, je tam x1800, x1900, 7900, samozrejma aj crossfire a aj SLI ->

In the recent statement, NVIDIA has said that they will be backing the 80nm "half-node" process by TSMC where it allows reduction of die size by 19%. According to Xpentor, NVIDIA G80 will make ATI stumble on April. Jenze tohle prave neni Fuad ;) Zvesti o dual-core GPU od nV uz tu jsou od nV 40/45, nekteri predvidali dual-core GPU u G70. Je to jen predzvest quad SLI. V tomto pripade je dual-core jedina moznost, protoze by si tezko nekdo koupil 4 stejne graficke karty v hodnote 400 dolaru a vice.
Sice grafikám tak moc nerozumím, ale jaký je princip "dual-core" u grafik? Není to tak trošku blbost?Citace:

No v podstate ano, ale z marketingoveho hlediska to zni dobre a jeste to tu nebylo ;)
Blbost to neni z hledeska vyteznosti chipu coz vzhledem k jejich narustacim rozmerum je dost podstatne. Navic se daji parovat, ktere se povedly stejne a nenastane situace, kdy se musi cele jadro vyhodit protoze se neco v pametovem radici nepovedlo jak melo.
Ovsem ma to i nevyhody, ktere dneska prevazuji. To neznamena, ze na tom nemuzou zapracovat tak, ze se to v blizke budoucnosti vyplati.
Výtěžnosti? Heh? A jak bys to chtěl provést? Víc čipů na jedné destičce? A jak je spojíš, aby to bylo dostatečně rychlé? Jako současné SLI to být nemůže, protože tam má každý čip vlastní řadič pamětí. A v případě, kdy by to bylo víc čipů s nějakou propojkou a lá HyperTransport a centrální řadič pamětí, půjde výkon do úplně do háje. Takže IMO to je sakra velká blbost.Citace:

Eagle: Samo o sobě to blbost je. Tím myslím, že je to nesmysl v případě, že by oba čipy pracovaly v AFR, SFR atp. Smysl by dávalo, kdyby měly nějaké efektivnější propojení - např. že by se celek choval jako jeden čip s více quady, případně kdyby oba "čipy" byly asymetrické. Ale párovat dva čipy přes AFR a ty ještě kombinovat s další dvojicí přes AFR by byl marketingový ojeb, protože každé zvýšení FPS by bylo na úkor zvýšení grafického lagu a snížení reakční doby pro hráče (jednočipové řešení při 60FPS ~ 17ms; čtyřčipové řešení při 60FPS ~ 67ms). Plně doufám v první (lepší) možnost :-)
Tie karty s dvoma chipmi na doske su dobra finta, umoznuju quadSLI (teda, nie vsetky, treba na to aj dosku ale hlavne driver), teda ak by zrazu ATi mala nejaku velmi dobru kartu, tak nvidia stale moze urobit quadSLI a povedat ze Ati je technologicky zaostale atd. atd. Ja to vidim na cisty marketing, pripadne na profesionalne pouzitie. Tie dualcore karty by mali potom quadSLI ? Bude vobec quadSLI (ofic.) pred vydanim tychto "dualcore" nexgen chipov? Ja tipujem ze nie.
Kazdopadne som zvedavy ze co to bude, az to bude :)
Sice nevím, jestli se to týká přímo G80 (nebo až nějakého nástupce), ale je to hodně zajímavé :-)

The other issue is, when will Nvidia manage to ship those cards in reasonable quantities? A middle March launch press launch and early April for the real availability sounds like the best shot to us. Remember Nvidia taped out in first weeks of January not even a month from now and it takes roughly three months from tape out till the production. We can still be wrong but will keep our eyes wide open.

48 pixel shader processors? To má přeci už G70...? Takhle je to docela nicneříkající číslo; pokud tam není alespoň náznak jejich architektury, tak je to prakticky nulová informace :-(
Pro rejpaly preventivně: ano, už NV40 měla dva pixel shader procesory na pipeline (tzn. 32 celkem), prezentovala to tak i nVidia:

Kdyz das dva cipy na jednu desticku, tak vzhledem ke vzdalenosti muzou byt propojeny mnohem rychlejsi sbernici nez je SLI nebo HT dohromady. Kazdopadne pokud by to bylo jen takove modifikovane SLI, tak by jiste narust vykonu nebyl zanedbatelny. Vzhledem k tomu, ze nyni se zacinaji objevovat quad SLI tak bych se ani nedivil, kdyby nVidia nebo Ati na podobnych resenich jiz davno pracovaly. A u ctyrcipoveho reseni jiste nezustane.Citace:

The same source gave us some news regarding additional members of the GeForce 7 family. Since this source is unofficial, consider the following information as a rumor. So here is what we have heard:
GeForce 7900 GS
According to our source, Nvidia is planning to extend the 7900 family with a GS member. Like the other GS products, it will be a bit slower then the GT. We still don’t know if it will be released to the AGP market like the 7800GS or to PCI Express.
GeForce 7600 GTX
I’ve been very surprised to hear about a GTX version of the 7600 series. Nvidia did very well with their 6600 series, and it seems that the new successor, the 7600 will get its own GTX version. As it sounds, we guess it will be faster then the 7600 GT.
GeForce 7600 LE
The LE version seems to be the slowest member of the 7600 series. So we can guess that it will also be the cheapest version. Update: Our source is not sure about the 7600LE.
GeForce 7300 GT
This one is already confirmed and the media reported about it today. I guess you already have all the details about it. According to the other websites, the release date for the 7300 GT is the 15th of May. According to our source the GeForce 7300 GT will be based on G73.

If it has a discernible advantage over the last gpu, they'll buy it. So our schedule right now on the next generation GeForce [Hmm, that's the first time we've heard them confirm it is still 'GeForce'?] is going to be second half, and the objective is to hit it for 'back to school'. But fundamentally we're really just targeting second half. Which means that the current GeForce 7 family, with the exception of the high-end, is really the family you're going to see in the back to school cycle. [So what I got out of that: if next spin goes well, they hit 'back to school' for a high-end part. If not, it'll be later. And no full family simultaneous launch.] But this one is. . .we kind of describe it inside the company as. . . 'this is probably the biggest architectural change in the company's history from one generation to the next' [Hmm!] I'll give you a little bit of insight. . .this device is going to be over half a billion transistors large. OT: v souvislosti s R600 se párkrát zmínilo číslo 450mil. Ale to už ostatně není rozdíl.
Tak podle vseho lze zapojit 7950GX2 do SLI s jednou 7900GT/GTX.

Nvidia doesn't want to risk the shrinkage to 80 nanometre. Its experiences with its own NV30 taught it not to take the unnecessary risks with chip shrinkage on such important chips.
