Tak mozna zadna G80, ale pekne zpatky k NV50, hmm :)
NV50 to come in mid-2006?
Citace:
By adding the R580 to stimulate demand, ATI expects its 90nm GPUs to become the main force of its mid-range and high-end GPU lines in the first quarter of 2006, indicated the sources. ATI’s failure to meet its sales goal for the Radeon X1800 (R520) chip was reportedly due to a reported shortage caused by a lack of upstream components. Other industry insiders, however, said that the limited supply was due to design issues with the R520 chip disrupting shipment schedules.
Nvidia is currently in volume production of its 90nm GPU series, the G71, G72 and G73, with the G71 to target the high-end market, the G72 the mid-range segment, and the G73 aimed at the entry-level, the sources said. Nvidia also plans to introduce its next flagship chip, the NV50, in the middle of next year, according to the sources.

NVIDIA GeForce Go 7800GTX SLI notebook coming soon?
Citace:
A source close to ITC, a market leader of custom made notebooks in Australia, has informed us that there is indeed such a notebook in development. Unfortunately, no details on the CPU or chipset were given, but according to our source, the new SLi notebook will be shipping by late February to early March. Heat and power consumption has always been the big issue with developing such a system. According to another source, this notebook will have 2 cooling systems. One will be the traditional intake from the underside of the laptop with the vents at the rear. The second will have a blower-style tunnel system taking air from one side of the notebook, cooling the 2 x GeForce Go 7800GTX GPUs and blowing it out the other side. By the sounds of it, this will not be a quiet system. But it should make up for that with its extreme gaming performance. This notebook should easily score 11,000+ 3Dmark05 points.

Uz vidim tu vydrz baterie, ztratove teplo, hlucnost
Re: G70 - G80 - Dualcore?
A co takhle DTR? Tam se na spotrebu moc nehraje ;)

NVIDIA's G71 to sample next week?
Citace:
NVIDIA'S latest graphic offering should start sampling as soon as next week. It's all in the promises now but we have a reason to believe that Nvidia is on the schedule with this one. We also heard that the chip should work around 700 MHz frequency and as we reported before it should feature 32 pixel pipelines.
Nvidia scheduled its launch and world wide availability in stores for February 2006 but if all goes well it might actually launch at the same time as ATI, in the last week of January.

No moc se mi tomu nechce verit, ale co uz :)

NVIDIA demonstrates decoding of H.264 video in hardware
Citace:
NVIDIA has shown off H.264 video decoding using its GeForce cards for the first time, today.
We were able to watch a GeForce 7800 use its GPU processing power to decode 20mbit, 1080p high definition content encoded with the H.264 standard. With the GeForce running at full throttle, CPU usage was throttled back to below 50%.
NVIDIA took some time out to explain their strategy for high-definition decoding - a strategy which will click into place in just a couple of months, with the release of ForceWare version 85.

Next generation NVIDIA GPU product details revealed
Citace:
It would seem that a few key NVIDIA partners have already been sampled with GeForce 7900, and they're currently working towards a hard launch planned for CeBIT 2006 in Hannover, Germany (9th through to 15th March), and if so, our money's would be on watching for announcements from NVIDIA, ASUSTeK, eVGA, XFX and possibly MSI, between the 9th and 11th March.
Unlike the launch of its GeForce 7800 GTX, the current plan seems that NVIDIA will launch both the faster GTX and GT variants at the same time.
The flagship single-card product GeForce 7900 GTX is claimed to be a 32 pixel processor part with a core GPU frequency of 700/750 MHz, and should ship with 1.1ns graphics RAM clocked at 800/900MHz.
Citace:
the money-shot is that a 700MHz NVIDIA GeForce 7900 is currently coming in at circa 13,000 3DM2K5's on an AMD Athlon 64 FX 60 system.

Re: G70 - G80 - Dualcore?
2.. 1.1ns pameti budou asi slusne drahe

ATi RADEON X1900 XT 512MB (625MHz VPU / 1450MHz GDDR-3) (AMD A64 FX-57 2.8GHz) ~10,000 3DMarks for $549 (£311.04)
Kdyz dle vr-zone:
"More interestingly, we heard faintly that a early sample of X1900 XTX clocked at 500MHz scored 10.2K in 3DMark05 ", tedy teoreticky by XTcko (625MHz) melo dat az kolem 12k...

NVIDIA G80
Citace:
We heard that G80 will be in time for launch in June during Computex and the process technology is likely to be 80nm at TSMC. In the recent statement, NVIDIA has said that they will be backing the 80nm "half-node" process by TSMC where it allows reduction of die size by 19%. We have previously mentioned that G80 is likely to take on the Unified Shader approach and supports Shader Model 4.0. G80 is likely to be paired up with the Samsung GDDR4 memories reaching a speed of 2.5Gbps.
According to Xpentor, NVIDIA G80 will make ATI stumble on April. Quad SLI itself can be implemented on a single card with two chips solution because it will carry the first dual core GPU ever with the support of DirectX10 and Shader Model 4.0. The development of G80 is also mentioned as being running very intensive since NVIDIA's acquisition over ULi. As for the upcoming G71, there will be 32pipes, increase in ROPs and a little speed bump over the core clock.
