zdravim, mam dotaz na UNIFLASH. V jeho popisu je zminka o PCI kartach, ktere UNIFLASH muze podporovat (netestovano) - http://www.uniflash.org/hardware.htm#PCI . Co to znamena? Ze je mozne napriklad pomoci karty "Realtek RTL8139 series" naflashovat pres patici pro ROMku treba cip "SST 39SF020A" se stejnym pouzdrem?? Nebo jak tomu mam rozumet - potrebuju naflashovat jeden starsi BIOS tak hledam vsechny moznosti...
Teoreticky tam nejaka moznost je, ale velmi to nefunguje. Konkretne Realtek som ani neskusal (ale vraj je tych chipov viac verzii a niektore vobec nepodporuju zapis). Vseobecne podpora PCI kariet velmi nefunguje - nie je tam kod, ktory by nakonfiguroval PCI birdge alebo aspon zistil z neho vhodnu adresu na namapovanie ROM...
jasne, diky. Byla to jedna sance jak flashnout BIOS do jedne desky se stejnou patici - vlastne jsem to nasel v pripojenem TXT souboru :) a docela me to prekvapilo...
edit: a navic koukam ze RTL8139 podporuje max 128kB a ta moje je 256kB :-/

Prior to your original post I wasn't even aware that you could use a
NIC to flash an EEPROM, so perhaps I'm not the best person to answer
your question. :-) However, I've discovered that my own [suitably
modified] RTL8139 based card can be used to flash an arbitrary 128K
binary image using Realtek's rtflash.exe utility:

The one proviso appears to be that only a limited number of devices
are supported or recognised. :-( I notice, however, that Uniflash
claims to support the RTL8139.

-l: list the flash that have test by this program
filename is the ROM code that you want to program to flash.
