Opravdu to funguje - overeno
OPRAVDU TO FUNGUJE!!!
Vyzkouseno na dvou typech desek K7T266 PRO2 a RU -XP1700+ a XP2400+ (B0)
Zde je strucny vycuc toho k cemu dospeli prispevatele oficialniho MSI fora k teto problematice
(asi 22 stranek tohoto fora vcetne moznosti pretaktovani T-BREDu na teto desce):

just a summary of what has been said/tested/discovered throughout
this thread, so late comers can jump to the results/conclusions)
K7T266pro2(-RU) supports officially AMD XP Palomino
only, and up to 2100+
XP with Thoroughbred core should work from 1700+
up to 2600+. In the worst case, with a motherboard
mod. This mod is UNSUPPORTED by MSI, and you will
loose your warranty. Do it at your own risk.
Though 2600+ should work, no one has up to date tried
it. The highest tested CPU was 2400+
Nothing above 2600+ will work. Do not ask. They have
FSB 166Mhz. Also be sure you choose a 2600+ with
FSB 133Mhz. Most of them are 166Mhz.
No one has successfully run any Thoroughbred XP
without the motherboard mod. However one should try
first without it.
In order to run XP >= 2200+ you need BIOS v37. There
was a v37 beta BIOS that supported XP >= 2200+, but
it seems that all the new features are included in v37.
You could try the beta BIOS as a last resort, but there
will be probably no difference.
You should NOT flash your BIOS with from within
Windows. You risk your motherboard to become
unusable
The voltage provided by the motherboard to the CPU
has nothing to do with the mod, nor the BIOS. It seems
that the CPU tells which voltage is needed and the
motherboard provides it. Then, optional BIOS voltages
become available around/above that value.

Na co presne je kond. C37 nevi ani BAS (administrator tohoto fora a autor upravy),jiste ale je,ze tato informace pochazi primo od MSI,kde ma BAS asi nejakeho technologickeho spiona.Podle meho se jedna o upravu zpozdeni resetovaciho signalu pro T-BREDa - bez odpajeni tohoto kondu se T-BRED na teto desce zkratka nerozjede - OVERENO NA VLASTNI KUZI a desce.Upravu jsem provedl uz na osmi deskach (chodi za mnou primo zakaznici fy. CHI BRNO).
BIOS NEPOTREBUJETE SPECIALNI OD BASe (je to beta oficialniho V3.7),staci si stahnout oficialni BIOS od MSI verze 3.7 - funguje -
OVERENO na vsech osmi kusech.Pozn.BIOS 3.7 je krome odpajeni kondu dalsi podminkou NUTNOU pro rozchozeni T-BREDu na K7T266 PRO2.Pokud nevlastnite mikropajku s prislusnym hrotem (tvar U ve velikosti SMD 0602 - musite zahrivat oba pady kondu zaroven a pritom jehlou jemne tlacit kondik do boku-idealni je pajka s horkym profukem-very special:-)),sverte radsi odpajeni nekomu jinemu.Lehce se vam muze stat,ze odloupnete pady a kousek spoje pak zkratujete na jiny spoj nebo pad (PAD=pajeci ploska soucastky na desce).NIKDY NEPAJEJTE NA MOBO TRAFOPAJKOU NEBO JI ODPALITE,VZDY VYJMETE CPU A POD DESKU DEJTE POLOVODIVY ANTISTATICKY MOLITAN (napr. z GM Elnic.).
Uprava nijak neovlivni funkci PALOMINA na desce - overeno na XP1700+ a XP1600+.
Jeste doplnek:na desce nikdy nepojede T-BRED na 166MHz FSB (XP2600+ a vys) protoze cipset KT266 neumi delic 4/5 = AGP/PCI = 66/33 - na PCI by bylo 41,5 MHz a AGP 83MHz coz jiste neni zadouci obzvlaste ne ve WinXP - zalezi vsak na ostatnim HW.

Jeste poznamka pro ty,kteri nemaji specialni hrot na mikropajku:
1206, 0805 a 0602 jsou standardizovane rozmery SMD odporu a kondiku.(udavaji velikost soucastky v milech 1mil=0.001 palce.
SMD 1206_tky a 0805_tky odpajuju normalne normalnim hrotem (stridave rychle zahrivani obou padu a pomoci jemne pinzety odstraneni),jsem "liny" nasazovat specialni hrot,ale pro 0602_ku je to zadouci,obzvlaste kdyz je soucastka jeste prilepena infra lepidlem -pripad MSI.Pouzivam Weller_ku (pajeci stanice s profukem cca 85000Kc)se zakoupenymi specialnimi nastavci jak na horky vzduch tak na klasicke pajeni (umim odpajet bez poskozeni desky nebo obvodu svaba (IO) i treba s 200 piny po ctyrech stranach.Uplne vsak staci obetovat jeden hrot obycejne mikropajky,rozklepat konec kladivem,aby vznikla ploska cca 0.8mm tlusta a do te pak vypilovat zub prislusnych rozmeru podle velikosti SMD (1206,0805,0602...),radne pocinovat a je to.Delal jsem to takhle v "pionyrskych" dobach SMD asi pred 12_ti lety.

Pokial mozno,kto to uz odskusal a vie ze to funguje,
lebo ja nemam zrovna taky potrebny "cit" v rukach
a ani mikropajku a....tak ;o)
