This release of Catalyst introduces the Catalyst® Control Center Basic View Wizard. The new Basic View Wizard provides a step by step procedure that helps users setup all of the common features found in the Catalyst® Control Center.
Issues Resolved in Catalyst® Software Suite 6.2

The following section provides a summary of the issues that have been resolved in the latest version of Catalyst®. These include:

• BattleField 2 Special Forces: A blooming or ghosting effect is no longer noticed when playing the game in night vision mode. Further details on this resolved issue can be found in topic number 737-21648
• City of Heroes: Running Shadertest 7 no longer results in slow performance being noticed. Further details can be found in topic number 737-21463

• Fable: The Lost Chapters: Playing the game under Windows XP MCE may result in the shadows found within the game appearing jittery, when the desktop resolution is set to 1024x768 32bpp, and all the game options are set to default. • Attempting to install the integrated WDM driver under Windows XP no longer results in an error message being displayed indicating that the hardware is not installed because the install Wizard cannot find the necessary software. • Catalyst™ Control Center: The preview for the Deinterlacing aspect found in the Catalyst™ Control Center is now available when using the ATI Radeon® X1300. Further details on this resolved issue can be found in topic number 737-20986
• The Video Preview found in the Standard Settings aspect within the Video option of the Catalyst® Control Center, no longer fails to provide a preview after hotplugging an LCD panel to an ATI Radeon® 9500 or 9800, when selecting to extend the desktop. • Alias MotionBuilder 6: Loading a model in MB6, followed by rotating the object, may result in shadows appearing corrupt and flickering being noticed. Further details can be found in topic number 737-21450
• AutoCAD 2005: Using the 3DORBIT command to rotate or zoom may result in the display hanging for a few seconds when having hardware acceleration enabled in AutoCAD and a 3D object in the drawing. Further details can be found in topic number 737-21451

ATi Catalyst 6.2 with Control Panel

We have noticed here at NGOHQ that some people still prefer to use the old ATI Control Panel over the Catalyst Control Center. As a result I have decided to incorporate the Control Panel into the newly released Catalyst 6.2s.

V praci uz jsem je dvou zakaznikum po reinstalu Win nainstaloval a v obou dvou pripadech ( R9100 a R9600 ) stejny problem. Po naistalovani na cista WIn XP SP2 ( + NET FW 1 i 2 ) se nastavi rozliseni na 800x600 - 4bit barvy ... Nejde prehazovat rozliseni, proste jako kdyby to adaptery neznalo. WInXP hlasi at nainstaluji alespon default VGA adapter ... Kdyz pustim instalaci znova, po restaru uz to je v pohode ... Proste se musi instalovat dvakrat ... Metoda ( postup ) instalace Wina a vubec vseho je dlouhodobe overen a s C6.1 bylo vse OK ... Tak nevim ...

Pekne, pekne, len mi teraz s nimy vypadava obraz pri zapnuti a vypnuti WinAmpu, proste sa na sekundu vypne monitor ako keby som odpojil kabel od grafany... Asi je to tym, ze mam Driver Cleaner 3.3, Catalysty 6.1 s nim mali velke problemy.

Neoficiální driver cleaner je dost zabugovaná utilita, doporučuju nepoužívat. V zahraničí se poslední dobou objevilo relativně dost lidí, kterým zlikvidoval systém.

Odinstaluvate drivery pred instalaciou novych? Ja pouzivam Omegy, autor pise, ze odinstalovavat stare netreba, nove ich kompletne prepisu. Zatial som nemal problemy na R9200-ke. (Uvidime s X1600XT) Ten driver cleaner mi ale raz narobil paseku, ked som to chcel vyskusat, viac to neriskujem. Ako odinstalovat spolahlivo ovladace v pripade potreby - v nudzovom rezime? Lebo ked som ich skusal odinstalovat v normalnom, tak to sice odinstalovalo vsetok soft, instalacky, ale drivery po restarte natiahlo naspat.

Pokud nekdo touzi po verzi se starym dobrym Control panelem, da se stahnout na http://www.station-drivers.com/page/atidriv.htm ... zajimavy je, ze verze CP je 6.14.10.5180, zatimco posledni znamy CP z Catalystu 5.11 je verze 6.14.10.5171.
