    Standardní WD400BB - blizi sa koniec?

    Mam ho uz skoro 3 roky (vyrobeny bol 4/2001), doteraz bez problemov. Dnes som defragmentoval disk a pri tom mi to zamrzlo, LEDka svietila a z disku sa ozyvali slabe divne zvuky (pokusal sa precitat dokola to iste). Tak som to resetoval a pustil rucne scandisk. Zastavil sa na chybe, ze bad sector a treba pustit thorough test.
    Nabootoval som z diskety od WD a quick test mi povedal, ze na disku su chyby, ktore mozu byt opravitelne a spytal sa, ci ich chcem opravit. Dal som nie, disk pripojil do druheho PC a zalohoval vsetko dolezite (zaujimave, ze ked treba, tak obsah 40GB disku vojde na 30GB disk, na ktorom je uz kopa vselicoho ).
    Potom som to dal "opravit" tou diagnostikou od WD. Po "opraveni" uz quick test presiel bez problemov, tak som spustil este extended test - ten skoncil s chybou 0357. Tak som dal write zeros a to teraz bezi (asi 2 a pol hodiny) - som zvedavy, co z toho bude...
    Stretol sa niekto s takymto problemom pri diskoch WD?
    A este trochu OT otazka: aky disk mam kupit? WD1200JB alebo Samsung SP1213N? IBM/Hitachi, Maxtor ani Seagate nechcem.

    Co ten beďar?? Je jen jeden, nebo je jich víc, je jejich počet stálý nebo se zvětšují?? Pokud ne disk by byl ještě vcelku použitelný, kdyžtak se podívej na moje stránky o bad sectorech http://apokeus.wz.cz (prosím ale toleranci co se týče mé angličtiny )

    Neviem, kolko ich tam bolo - scandisk som nenechal pusteny. Ale pri zalohovani sa mi nepodarilo precitat asi 5 suborov (medzi nimi aj USER.DAT ako vzdy pri chybe na disku...) Mam aj ulozeny vypis zo SMART (aj zo SMART logu poslednych par chyb) - ale mam to na Linuxovej particii a teraz som vo Windows.

    Tak to bude zkřivená hlava, která bude dělat stále nové bad sectory , doporučuju ti to co jsi z disku nevytahal rychle zazálohovat, pokud si chces trochu zariskovat zkus low level format jako poslední pokus o záchranu disku.

    Teraz bezi write zeros, uz je to skoro na konci. Potom pustim znovu testy a ked to prejde, tak FDISK+format a pozriem do SMARTu - aky je status a ci pribudaju chyby do logu.

    tak se taky pridam (Barracuda IV80GB)...
    dneska jsem s tim delal co slo, ale vypada to, ze disk konci. jeste "docela" jede. seatools jsem odstranim BB (jelo to snad 6hodin), ale je zabrzdeny (ke konci disku rychlost rapidne klesa) a ma problemy se smart.

    Takze write zeros skoncilo bez chyby a extended test tiez presiel bez chyby. Zajtra pozriem do SMARTu...

    Mam ho uz skoro 3 roky (vyrobeny bol 4/2001), doteraz bez problemov. Dnes som defragmentoval disk a pri tom mi to zamrzlo, LEDka svietila a z disku sa ozyvali slabe divne zvuky (pokusal sa precitat dokola to iste). Tak som to resetoval a pustil rucne scandisk. Zastavil sa na chybe, ze bad sector a treba pustit thorough test.
    Nabootoval som z diskety od WD a quick test mi povedal, ze na disku su chyby, ktore mozu byt opravitelne a spytal sa, ci ich chcem opravit. Dal som nie, disk pripojil do druheho PC a zalohoval vsetko dolezite (zaujimave, ze ked treba, tak obsah 40GB disku vojde na 30GB disk, na ktorom je uz kopa vselicoho ;D ).
    Potom som to dal "opravit" tou diagnostikou od WD. Po "opraveni" uz quick test presiel bez problemov, tak som spustil este extended test - ten skoncil s chybou 0357. Tak som dal write zeros a to teraz bezi (asi 2 a pol hodiny) - som zvedavy, co z toho bude...
    Stretol sa niekto s takymto problemom pri diskoch WD?
    A este trochu OT otazka: aky disk mam kupit? WD1200JB alebo Samsung SP1213N? IBM/Hitachi, Maxtor ani Seagate nechcem.
    Přesně tohle mi udělal po roce a půl provozu (vyroben 12'01, v provozu od 1'02, odešel 7'03). Write zeros pomohlo zhruba na měsíc, pak stejná chyba (0357 DAM, sektory alokovány někam do pr...) SMART status vždycky zalítal jak šílenej. Jinak na ATA100 už potom neběžel, protože tam od zhroucení se nikdy neprošel testem. Na ATA33 se mi ho povedlo "opravit", pak se stejně vysypal znova.

    Bez problémů mi to vyreklamovali za nový disk, akorát to chvilku trvalo. Radši neotálej s reklamací.

    Byl to ten starý. "EB-like" jsem dostal až po reklamaci. Vím, kam tím míříš. Jinak ty "EBčkové" nemají krytou elektroniku (že by na tom obrázku byl vzorek?) a bohužel se dnes v tomhle pouzdru dodává i 800JB... :-/

    Měl jsem o tom někde na foru i thread, ale už je to 3 měsíce zpátky, takže bude asi smazaný.

    Teraz mam ten disk spolu s WD300BB v jednom PC. Ten WD300BB je podstatne tichsi - a myslim, ze ten 400BB nebol taky hlucny, ked bol novy - takze sa asi nejako vydralo lozisko...
    Zatazujem ho - kopirujem a pod. - a tvari sa, ze mu vobec nic nie je. RAW Read Error Rate je stale 200, do logu nepribudli ziadne chyby. Este skusim pustit SMART long test, ale to az ked budem v Linuxe (pre Windows na to asi neexistuje ziadny program )

    Ano, chová se naprosto stejně jako ten můj... Každopádně ho byla škoda.
    Zvýšenou hlučnost jsem pozoroval rovněž, ale drnčel jen někdy a spíš výjimečně.

    Jinak já měl problém někde na hranici 27.GB. (~69%).
