Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008 will share a single service pack binary, reflecting the fact that their code bases were joined with the release of Server 2008.[76]
Unlike prior Service Pack releases of both Windows Vista and Windows XP, Microsoft has decided to release Service Pack 2 in the form of an OEM Preinstallation Kit to OEM partners 60 days after the date of Windows 7 General Availability.[79]
